ake no bones about it. Zachary Nash was on a roll when it came to making the grade at the Mid-South Hare Scramble Youth Series. He earned an A+ for his second win this season in the Junior B division. Which was no easy task since the Pirelli / Moose / Maxxis / American Patriot Getaways supported Cross-Country Motorsports Championship entertains youth from Indiana, Illinois, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee.Thor / VMI / Pro Taper sponsored Zachary Nash worked his way up from a bad start and was in fourth place by the end of the first lap. Three laps later, he found himself in the lead and had an awesome ride since he was the only rider in his class to make seven laps.
After six laps, DC Cycle Racing supported Richard Brewer finished Junior B in third place. He was in the lead for the first two laps until he wrecked twice. He said, "I tried to jump a ditch and cased it out." Jeremiah Bowman came in second.
Off the Junior A start, Ashburn got the holeshot and then very quickly went to a dead last, twentieth place. Somebody slid into him, and knocked him into a tree, giving Shane Pena a chance at the lead.

Unfortunately for Pena, the freshly laid two and a half miles of trail had a lot of ruts, making it difficult for him pass. However, he finished with an impressive second place in Junior A and was only four seconds down from Ashburn.
"I had a really good ride, and I liked the track a lot," said Daniel Ritter, "but the first lap, I went down a few times. That set me back to fourteenth place, and I really had to go fast to make it back to third. On the last two laps, I think I was in third, and I just wanted to stay there. It was a really good track, nice and open, fast."
Daniel Sullivan and Adam Creasor were among the remaining top five. They both made seven laps and finished a few seconds apart in Junior A.
